Adrienne Elrod: ‘It’s Completely Ineffective to Have a Wall at the Border’

‘You don’t need a freaking wall’

EXCERPT:

ELORD: "No, we don’t want a wall. We want stronger border security, of course, and we made it very clear in this —"
CHAFFETZ: "So if you're not going to put up a wall, what do you think border security is?"
ELROD: "Putting more agents of the border. You don’t need a freaking wall. Congressman, you know that a giant wall — it’s not cost-effective, it's not —"
CHAFFETZ: "Democrats have never taken the position that they are worried about the costs."
ELROD: "Of course we talked about worrying about the cost!"
CHAFFETZ: "If you don't think the wall works, would you take down the current wall? Would you take it down?"
ELROD: "We support compromising on stronger border security measures, by putting more agents on the border, but to insinuate that the Democrats —"
CHAFFETZ: "But the policy is that you have to release them. That doesn’t matter how many agents there are."
ELROD: " — are lax on this and we've been willing to come to the table and compromise because we don’t want to build a giant wall which will take our country further into debt is ridiculous."
