Ebola Czar Praises FDA’s Handling of Outbreak

‘They’ve also approved for widespread testing in Africa, the first-ever vaccine to prevent Ebola’

"We leave the FDA to make regulatory decisions based on the facts and evidence. It's not something that policy makers at the White House intervene. We have tough impressed upon the FDA the importance of acting safely, carefully, but quickly. They've also approved for a wide spread testing in Africa, the first-ever vaccine to prevent Ebola. That test is going to start in the next three to four weeks with tens of thousands of people in West Africa getting the vaccine. That's another potentially significant step forward in this fight against the disease."
