Gillibrand: Republicans Are Treating Blasey Ford Worse than Anita Hill

GILLIBRAND: "What is so shocking about this president is that he is constantly attacking the Department of Justice and undermining Jeff Sessions, and undermining law enforcement, but he won’t even ask them to do the investigation which is absurd. They are treating this issue worse than they did when Anita Hill wanted to testify. Even under Anita Hill's review, she got the benefit of an FBI investigation where they called multiple witnesses into hearings. They want a he said/she said, just two witnesses, they don’t want to call Mark Judge or her therapist or the corroborating witnesses who have been told about this incident before Brett Kavanaugh was named to be a Supreme Court justice. They're really trying to railroad this. And they are doing it in a way that I find so offensive and so outrageous, and all women of America should be paying attention because what is happening is not right."
