FNC’s Griff Jenkins Reports from Pollocksville, N.C.: ‘The Entire Town Underwater and Cut Off from Civilization’

‘We saw the helicopters coming in, bringing supplies’

EXCERPT:

JENKINS: "Good morning, guys. Yeah, it's all about the rivers, the Cape Fear River in Fayetteville, the Lumber River in Lumberton, and here the Trent River in Pollocksville. Look at this. The entire town underwater and cut off from civilization. It’s crazy here. We saw the helicopters coming in, bringing supplies. We have seen local and federal assets coming. And Mr. Bell, if you could come in, we ran into Darryl Bell. Darrell is a lifelong resident, he owns a business here. What do you make of, this Darrell? What has happened?"
BELL: "We have had a lot of rain, a lot of wind, a lot of devastation and a lot of families had to relocate and we do definitely have a mess, as you can see. I don’t know if the town will ever be the same again."
