Cosby Accuser Lise-Lotte Lublin on Verdict: I Started Shaking and Crying
EXCERPT:
LUBLIN: "I got a call from my husband, Benjamin. And he said, there’s a verdict, there’s a verdict. I was immediately like, let me know what it is, but call me back. I still had 15 minutes of class left before my lunch."
HAINES: "Oh, wow."
LUBLIN: "And he ended up calling me about three, four minutes later. He said, it’s guilty. It’s guilty. I said, are you playing with me? He said, no. And I said, are you sure? He said, it’s guilty. It’s guilty. All three counts. And when he said all three counts, that’s when I realized he was serious. This was it. This really happened. And I just responded with you gotta call in. I have to get out of here. Um — and — I’ll call you back. I jumped out of my seat. I kind of walked over to the phone. And I called my office manager. I said, he’s guilty. Cosby’s guilty. And I’ve got to go. And she’s like, is that a good thing? Because I started to well up and — shaking and crying pretty much. And she — I said, yeah, it’s a good thing. But I’m losing it and I’ve got to go. So she said go. Go. She said, I’ve got you, just go."
