Wayne Brady Dismisses Maher’s Islam Views: Like a Crazy Grandpa (Mediaite)

Wayne Brady isn’t exactly Bill Maher‘s biggest fans. In the past, Maher’s made fun of President Obama‘s blackness by saying he’s the same shade of black as Brady. On a number of occasions, Brady has reacted by saying he’d “gladly slap the shit” out of Maher or “beat [his] ass in public” for questioning his black cred.

So when Brady was on HuffPost Live yesterday, host Ricky Camilleri asked him his thoughts on Maher’s most recent controversy: his views on Islam. Brady basically rolled his eyes and lamented how a normally smart guy could say such stupid things. But he explained he’s not mad at Maher, “I just laugh and shake my head”

Brady said, “He’s your uncle at the barbecue or your grandpa that shows up with no pants on or something.”
