Rove: ‘The President Ought To Be Focused on Being President’ Not on Oprah

ROVE: "First of all, the presidential election is three years off and has said that she may run and she might not run. She said God hadn’t talked to her. She thought if God wanted her to run, he did talk her about it. I would remind you, even though she overwhelmingly favorable reviews. 35% said she should run for president. 54% said she should not. My point is, the president ought to be focused on being president. My opinion is, Oprah Winfrey is unlikely to run, and there’s plenty of time before the next election if she doesn’t run for him to voice his opinions. I think the American people want to focus on the president. I don’t think it helps his cause or the cause of his agenda to be spending his time punching down to somebody who may or may not run and is unlikely to run."
