Scaramucci: Trump Is a ‘Germaphobe’

RUHLE: "Who do you think the president trusts right now? Because as you go through the book, and when I’ve even spoken to people who have known him for years, and it’s not unlike a lot of businessmen. He’s a paranoid person to begin with. So, you're paranoid to begin with. You read a book like this. You got over 200 interviews."
SCARAMUCCI: "Hold a second. Andy Grove wrote a best-seller in the late 1990s called 'Only the Paranoid Survive'. If you're an American business leader --" [crosstalk]
RUHLE: "I’m not insulting him for being paranoid."
SCARAMUCCI: "Well, when you say paranoid, it’s like a sociopathology."
RUHLE: "No."
SCARAMUCCI: "He's not paranoid in that way. He is a protective guy. He knows he has a big brands. He was a worldwide celebrity before he became president. And, you know, you got to -- got to put a little bit of protective membrane around yourself and your family."
RUHLE: "For sure. But if you don’t want people to go anywhere near your toothbrush or your food or you don’t anyone to change your sheets —"
SCARAMUCCI: "How do we know that that’s true? How do we know that’s true?"
RUHLE: "OK. You know what? Then let’s give it -- let's say maybe it’s not."
SCARAMUCCI: "Here’s what I will say, he is a germaphobe."
