KTVA Issues Formal Apology for Its ‘F*ck It, I Quit’ Reporter (Mediaite)
KTVA’s Charlo Greene took the internet by storm yesterday with a rather frank “fuck it, I quit” live on the air Sunday night. Well, last night KTVA officially apologized for Greene’s impromptu statement.
Greene revealed on the air that she is the owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club and said in an online video she stepped down to focus on legalizing marijuana. Now, if you’ve seen the video of Greene’s amazing exit, you know that the KTVA anchor was wildly unprepared and stammered a bit before moving on.
But the next day, KTVA news director Bert Rudman issued an official apology on behalf of the network for Greene’s behavior. And aside from the “inappropriate language” Rudman apologizes for, he also said she reported on the Alaska Cannabis Club without first disclosing her personal connection.
