Going after the F.B.I., which is a conservative institution filled with law enforcement professionals, because of the bad acts of one investigator attached to the Mueller team, does a disservice to the President. Because ultimately, attacking the F.B.I. maybe speaks to a small, narrow segment of the electorate that's already with him no matter what. But to broader folks in key states going into the midterms, the F.B.I. is respected as an institution. We're years, decades, generations past the Hoover years when the F.B.I. was weaponized. I don’t see it."
