Noam Chomsky: I Once Owned 22 Cats

CHOMSKY: “Years ago, we had two little girls and they loved cats. We actually had 22 cats within a three year period, because there was never a way to get the cats fixed between pregnancy and the next batch of kittens. The kids didn’t want — [they] loved the kittens. The kittens were being born under their beds and their closets ... They grew up and went to college. There was one [cat] that they left, and that one practically lived forever. My wife liked it. Could not live without it."
