‘Dead Poets Society’ Producer Recounts Robin Williams Entertaining Kids with Cancer

‘He just was an adorable, adorable man ... it was truly the inside that made him so wonderful’

THOMAS: "Great deal of sorrow, Ronan. Robin and I were relatively close, not only from doing 'Dead Poets Society' and movie 'Insomnia,' but every year he did spots for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and it was just so, so touching to watch him work with the children and care so much, no matter what his schedule was like: very busy that day or perhaps even his mood not the greatest. When he sat down with that child, he just opened up and gave everything he could to the child and spent time, much, much time with the parents after the shoot to take care of them, to see how they’re doing; send all this movies to hem. He just was an adorable, adorable man. I mean, you have all spoken of his talent, but it was truly the inside that made him so wonderful."
