BREMER: "Well, it is clear it was a mistake to withdraw American troops in 2011 because it did create a vacuum into which rose both Sunni extremists in the form of the Islamic state and Shia extremists in the form of Iranian-backed militia. So, to his credit, President Obama reversed that withdrawal sending in some 5,000 troops and now it appears President Trump wants to continue that policy of defeating ISIS which I think can be done. I don't know if it's in a few days or weeks but anyway, it will be done."
