Halperin: Comey Set a ‘Dangerous’ Precedent Revealing Details of an Ongoing Probe

‘It’s completely improper’

EXCERPT:

HALPERIN: “It may not be fake news but I continue to be critical of Director Comey just unilaterally deciding when he wants to reveal things about ongoing investigations. I think it’s completely improper. He did it in the case of Hillary Clinton, he's now doing it in the case of the President. I don't get that.”
BRZEZINSKI: "He's sort of being compelled right now."
HALPERIN: "He's not compelled. He say, 'The standard is, if the public is interested in something, I’ll reveal an ongoing probe.' I’ve never heard of this standard and I think it’s a dangerous one to set."
