KILDEE: "Well obviously we’re happy whenever we have jobs that our American jobs that remain as American jobs, but none of this is a replacement for real policy. We have to have trade policy that permanently protects our manufacturing base, and not leaves it to the whim of the political moment, which it seems to be sort of the tone that we’re dealing with right now. I mean, President-Elect Trump seems to govern with 140 characters and a tweet. We have to have much more thoughtful policy when it comes to supporting manufacturing. This is good news, but it’s not a replacement for policy that’s much more permanent and sustainable.
