Josh Earnest: Obama Hasn’t Gotten Enough Credit for Being ‘Most Transparent’ President (Mediaite)
White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest told CNN’s Brian Stelter that it bothers him President Obama doesn’t get enough credit for being the “most transparent” president in history.
Stelter brought up journalists’ complaints about transparency in this White House and FOIA requests not being answered. Earnest insisted that they’ve made much progress on that front and have actually not been getting enough credit.
Earnest even said that there’s really “no constituency in American politics for transparency in government beyond journalists.”
