Cummings: Trump Must Divest Himself of His Assets and Place Proceeds in a Blind Trust

CUMMINGS: "Well, the thing I want, first of all, is to do what both Republican and Democratic experts have said. That Donald Trump has to divest himself of his interests."

CUOMO: "Is that fair?"

CUMMINGS: "Put them in a blind trust."

CUOMO: "You can’t put them in a blind trust because they’re not just simple securities, congressman. If he sells them, he’s selling them under hardship and time pressure could affect their value and you could have opportunists buy them to try to curry influence. Seems like a tough solution."

CUMMINGS: "It’s a tough situation. When we go into government, we go into government knowing we have to make major sacrifices. He knew, he ran for president."
