RENDELL: "Because he delivers a very simple in my judgment totally false message to people who are either unemployed or underemployed we used to work in manufacturing and touch the right buttons. And if you’re frustrated with your lot, it’s very difficult to say, okay, vote for the same team that’s been in charge in the last eight years. But Donald Trump seems to indicate that all our problems are involved with trade. Well, you know, Andrea, that’s not true. Technology has cost us more manufacturing jobs than trade by a long shot in Pennsylvania. And, in fact, trade has produced a whole new slew of manufacturing jobs so it’s not as simple challenge. But it’s the message that resonates right now, three months to go, a lot of room to go down and a lot of roads to go down and as I said I like our lineup of surrogates better and our candidate better than any I’ve seen in the eight elections I’ve been involved in."
