Asa Hutchinson: Arkansas Will Be the First State that Marco Rubio Wins

RUSH TRANSCRIPT:

HEMMER: “Governor Hutchinson, I have not seen a single poll on Super Tuesday that shows Marco Rubio winning.”
HUTCHINSON: “Well, we hope that Arkansas will be the first state that he wins.” 
HEMMER: “Do you see him winning anywhere on Tuesday, governor?”
HUTCHINSON: “I do. I think last night’s debate showed he not on is a command on policy but he’s also willing to go toe to toe with Donald Trump. People wanted to see leadership, strength, a future president. They you a that last night in Marco Rubio. What you see between now and next Tuesday and beyond is that people are going to have some buyer’s remorse on Donald Trump. They will take a second look at that and say can he perform all he’s promised. He’s a fighter for the middle class. You think they will look at last night’s performance and say Marco Rubio is reaganesque in some ways, but he’s also tough and resilient. When you look at states that need to win, absolutely he needs to win but there’s time and Arkansas should be the start.” 
HEMMER: “OK. We’ll see about that. There was a big meeting in Manhattan Wednesday night, apparently a lot of big donors from Jeb Bush and they were asked to write another check. And that might be a difficult thing. If he goes o-11 on Tuesday, can he make the case to stay in his own home state where the polls show he’s trailing Donald Trump in Florida?”
HUTCHINSON: “Well, a lot depends upon where you are. If you are the challenger to Donald Trump and you win one or more state, you make the case as a party and as a country, Marco Rubio is the conservative who can win in November. That’s the test and he has proven that in his last performance in South Carolina. You do well on Super Tuesday. He’s the right alternative to Donald Trump, the conservative that can win in November.”
