Charlie Hurt: Biden Making Things Up About Really Serious Stuff Makes People Feel Like He’s Belittling Their Real Tragedies

‘It is really bizarre when you start spinning yarns, fabrications about really serious things or talking about his house burning down, you know, trying to, I guess, relate to people who are suffering’

EXCERPT:

HURT: "Yeah, he was making stories up 30 years ago, which is what got him drummed out of presidential politics in the first place. But it does get a whole lot more serious when you are the leader of the free world and the entire world is looking to you and they realize you are making up stories and they realize you have become a punch line for the stories that you make up. And it's particularly disturbing when he’s talking about 9/11 or the death of his son or he's talking about the death of his uncle, who served in the military. It is really bizarre when you start spinning yarns, fabrications about really serious things or talking about his house burning down, you know, trying to, I guess, relate to people who are suffering. It does the opposite. People don’t feel like they are relating to him, they feel like he is almost mocking them and making fun or belittling the real tragedy they have been through or the real horrors that they have been through."
