Josh Kimbrell: What DeSantis Has Done in Florida Is What Trump Has only Dreamed of at a National Level

KIMBRELL: “What Ron DeSantis has done is struck the right balance. The reality is, the DoJ has become politicized, we do have the federal law enforcement apparatus that has become very partisan, Americans feel that across the board. But at the same time, President Trump still creates a lot of drama around him and his responses, even to these indictments, although I do believe they’re shams and politically motivated, doesn’t really help him very much, doesn't serve him very well. If you’re going to fight back against this weaponization of government, the only person running for president in 2024 who's done that is Ron DeSantis. I mean, he fired a George Soros-backed prosecutor in Florida, removed him, after he decided to politicize his position. Nobody running for president has done that, including the former president. And I'll remind people that everybody running is talking about draining the swamp, including, of course, the former president, but the only person who's really found the plug to the bathtub of the swamp is Ron DeSantis, not Donald Trump, because in Florida he’s been able to do things that President Trump really only dreamed of at the national level, because he understands where to go after this corruption and where to really diffuse the political bomb, if you will."
