Mike Tyson Talks About His Pet ‘Cats:’ The Tigers Know They Should Be Put in Their Place
EXCERPT:
CARLSON: "Is it dangerous to have friends over when you have tigers?"
TYSON: "I normally don't have — I have them in a cage when my friends come over."
CARLSON: "So you’re saying, as you get older and you become less aggressive, the cats can smell that?"
TYSON: "Yeah, listen, they need to be put in their place. A tiger knows he has to be put in his place. If you are not able to put him in his place, he will put you in your place."
CARLSON: "So you have to be the Cus D'Amato to his Mike Tyson?"
TYSON: "Absolutely. And it doesn't have to be brutal. It doesn't have to be brutal."
CARLSON: "Right."
TYSON: "Listen, you can teach these cats, right? You can teach them, but very few, like only a half a percent could be trained. You can’t tame them. You can train them, but you can’t tame them."
