SCHMITT: "Welcome to being a cop in 2022. This is a situation, especially in America’s big blue cities, and we all know why it’s happening. The subsection of society that is criminal no longer fear the consequences of their action. The left believes criminals can be reformed through kindness and capitulation, it’s an ideology of pure naive virtue that’s turning this country into a hellhole. Many of us thought that the utter destruction of American quality of life would end this nonsense, that we’d see the light, a light bulb would suddenly light up over the heads of the bleeding hearts that are destroying this country in the name of equity. It’s not happening. On Sunday, George Soros, the architect of America’s demise, wrote in an op ed, 'Some politicians and pundits have tried to blame recent spikes in crime on the policies of reform-minded prosecutors. The research I’ve seen says otherwise. The most rigorous academic study analyzing data across 35 jurisdictions shows no connection between the election of reform-minded prosecutors and local crime rates.' Now Soros never names that study for obvious reasons, but we found it and, of course, as you might suspect, it was paid for by a leftist, Mark Zuckerberg. The study was created by the Public Safety Lab at NYU, on their website, in bold letters, it screams at you, 'PROSECUTORIAL REFORM INITIATIVE,' so you know you’re not really getting an unbiased study right off the bat.”
