Rep. Pressley: ‘The Far-Right Extremism of This Supreme Court Has Obstructed the Will of the People’

PRESSLEY: "Well, this is not a drill, and we've been sounding the alarm for years and none of it was hyperbole, it was -- in fact, we're probably accused of being hysterical women. But our fundamental right to abortion care is under attack and this draft really shows that the stakes could not be higher. And so the Senate must act. You know, that's it. We have got to codify Roe v. Wade, we should abolish the filibuster. It is clear that this Supreme Court continues to obstruct the will of the people because majority of Americans support Roe v. Wade, do not want it overturned, and the far right extremism of this Supreme Court has obstructed the will of the people when it comes to voting rights, when it comes to housing rights, and now when it comes to reproductive freedom justice and bodily autonomy.”
