BARNICLE: "You know, think for a moment about the sad success of this event, January 6. They have taken a day when the government of the United States, as we've been talking, was nearly overthrown, when democracy was shattered in full view of the American public. It was televised. They have an entire political party, the Republican Party standing up and saying January 6th was really no big deal, November 3rd was bigger, that's when the insurrection took place. That’s what Trump said the other night, that the election was illegal. That's where we are now.”
