Dems to Americans: Vote Biden, or Die! [Supercut]

As the 2020 election season winds down to its final days, Democrats are deploying a rather dark talking point.

Vote Biden, or die.

This might sound like an exaggeration, but it's actually become a common refrain among Democrats hitting the campaign trail for the former vice president. 

"Vote as if your life depends on it," urged Biden's VP nominee, Kamala Harris. "Because right now, it really does."

In a message addressed specifically to millennial voters, Sen. Elizabeth Warren said: “Vote like your life depends on it, because it does."

"Pick any issue you care about," she explained. "I guarantee it is on the line in this election and Joe Biden has a vision for how to make change. If it is dismantling systemic racism, Joe Biden has been clear that as president, he will strengthen America’s commitment to justice and reform our criminal justice system. If it is for student debt, Joe is in the fight to help cancel student loan debt. If you believe in science and think we need to take action on climate change, Joe has just put out a plan to do that."

Vermont socialist and sometimes presidential candidate Bernie Sanders upped the rhetorical ante even more: "The future of our democracy is at stake. The future of our economy is at stake. The future of our planet is at stake!"

The media are also getting in on this terrifying talking point. NBC's Cari Champion, who co-hosts a show with Jemele Hill, said, "You have to vote as if your life depends on it."

Horror movie director Michael Moore pleaded: "Don't put this off. We are in a dangerous, dangerous place. Our lives are at stake!"

When wildfires were recently raging in California, Former President Obama said, "The fires across the West Coast are just the latest examples of the very real ways our changing climate is changing our communities. Protecting our planet is on the ballot. Vote like your life depends on it — because it does."

His wife, Michelle, said, "We have got to vote for Joe Biden like our lives depend on it."
