Tucker: There’s Only One Way For Educators To Keep the Children Safe and That Is to Reopen Schools

CARLSON: “Two weeks ago the American academy of pediatrics — not educators but pediatricians recommended reopening schools in the fall. Keeping children at home isolates them and increases the risk of depression and suicide. It also keeps reports of and physical abuse in children. So for children and the risk staying locked at home are high. The risk from the Coronavirus pipe contrasts are not high. The virus is deadly to the very old and those who are already sick, and we know that. But children in the vast majority of young and middle-aged adults in the vast majority of teachers, it poses literally zero threat. For children it’s far less deadly than the seasonal flu. They will constitute a higher death toll then all Coronavirus deaths among high schoolers nationwide so far. And in fact we have good reason to believe lockdowns have boosted suicides far more than 1%. The numbers are not incompletely but the numbers we have so far are horrifying.”
