Andrew Cuomo Calls Hanukkah Stabbing ‘Domestic Terrorism’: ‘This Is an American Cancer’

CUOMO: “We know the facts, martin. Good to be with you. And I think we need some clarity and we need some honesty at this point in this country’s history. Unless you’re living on another planet, you’re fully aware of what’s going on in this country and the the rash of hate crimes that has been going on. Synagogue shootings, shootings in nightclubs that cater to LGBTQ people, anti-latino shootings. There is an American cancer. It’s spreading of hate, hate of different religions, hate for creeds, different sexual orientations. It is anti-american because we’re all about diversity and differences. And we’re seeing it in this state now Predom innocently with anti-Semitic attacks. And most of those attacks in the orthodox Jewish community. Jewish people where the dress and their culture make it is clear that they are orthodox Jewish. This person came into the home, didn’t say a word. It was Hanukkah. It was a gathering for Hanukkah in the rabbi’s home. And tried to kill people. What is terrorism? It is a hate motivated act to instill fear based on race, color, creed with the intent to murder. And that’s what this was.”
