Dr. Drew: Where Are the Environmentalists on the Homelessness Issue?
PINSKY: “I certainly think that is when we do this. I tell you what I’ve been saying for months, where are the environmentalists? We have from 60,000 people on our streets. When it rains, goes directly into the L.A. River, bypasses the sewage treatment plant, goes directly to the ocean. All year our oceans have been ranked c-f. It’s dangerous to be in our origins. One straw and one turtle’s nose, a national crisis. We have a catastrophe environmentally caused by the feces, blood, and urine on the street. If a city the size of Pasadena suddenly disconnected from sewage treatment you don’t think environmental moves but have something to say about? Where are they? That’s what I’ve been asking.”
