AOC Enraptures ‘Late Night’: He Was Like, Like, Yeah, and I Was Like, No, Right?

‘And, like, the person’s in charge of the National Flood Insurance Program, and we’re like, what?’

The media starlet and New York congressman, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, had, like, a lot to say on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” Thursday night.

Unfortunately, in between her constant use of “like,” “yeah, yeah,” and “you know,” it was hard making out what it was she had to say.

Ocasio-Cortez is from New York, but often sounds more like a character from “Clueless.” Throughout the interview, she repeatedly used Valley girl filler words such as “like” and “yeah, yeah.”

While mocking one of her Republican colleagues, the self-described Democratic Socialist said: “Sometimes, especially with my Republican colleagues, they say things and I’m, like, ‘What does that have to do with what we’re talking about?’ There’s this is one member who famously, every single Financial Services Committee hearing, he says, ‘I ask everyone this, are you a capitalist or a socialist?’ And the person’s, like, in charge of National Flood Insurance Program, they’re, like, what?”

The story continued: “And the best thing, too, is this — you know, last week, he actually said, ‘Are you a capitalist or socialist? Yes or no?’ And the woman said, yes or no? And he says, yeah. And she goes, yes.”

And that’s just a sample. Check out the montage above for, like, a lot more.
