ABC News’ Matt Gutman Makes the Case for the Need of a Border Barrier

‘These are two families that have just been taken across the border by coyotes’

EXCERPT:

GUTMAN: "And so, most of what the chief and his Border Patrol officers are dealing with are these kinds of asylum seekers who are not trying to run away from them, who are literally presenting themselves to them so they can be taken to the Border Patrol. We've asked some of them in the central processing facility, why they came now, and a bunch of them know that the reason is that if they seek asylum, step foot in the U.S. and they have a child with them, they will most likely be released on their own recognizance. Again, I'm Matt Gutman, and we're here along the Mexico-U.S. border just south of McAllen, Texas."
