Yahoo’s Rick Newman: The Markets Would Love It If Trump Would Just Shut Up

JACKSON: “Rick let me start with you, because in a new piece out this morning you are telling Trump to, quote, get -- the president, to get acts together basically. Can you explain what you mean by that?"
NEWMAN: "Yeah. I think that’s the message markets are sending to Trump right now; we don’t really — we don’t like the government shutdown. We don’t like you bashing the chairman of the federal reserve. We want you to stay out of the fed’s business and allow the fed to remain independent. And what the heck was up with what your treasury secretary came out and said the other day that he talked with the bank chiefs, basically asking them do you have enough money? Is everything OK? He said, yes, everything is OK. That’s very odd behavior. I think what markets would love would be if Trump would just shut up. But of course he’s not going to do that."
