Tur: When Trump Sees Obama and Bush Serving Meals to Soldiers from Iraq, He’d Argue that We Never Should Have Been in Iraq

TUR: "Yeah. So what Peter has experienced and I have experienced is that when you go out -- and yeah, there are some disappointment and there are some desire for him to show more of the symbolic, have more of the symbolic gestures towards the military, to make calls, to show up, to visit the gravesites, to do the things that commander-in-chief does symbolically, but a lot of them give him a bit of a pass for that, because they say, hey, listen, he is expanding the benefits of the VA, it's not his fault that the VA can’t get it together, they give him a pass for that even though he is in charge. He has spent more money on the military and the defense and they are raising the pay wages, and he is raising the pay wages. And when Donald Trump will see a picture of say George W. Bush in Iraq serving the Thanksgiving to soldiers out there, his argument would be would be, we should not have been in Iraq, we should not have sent our soldiers out there to get slaughtered, to fight this war, someone else’s war. He will argue that he was against the Iraq war even though there is no evidence of him being against the Iraq war. And his supporters, his military supporters, those that want to support him and like him will say, he is not the one who got us into the mess, I don’t need him to try to make it better by carving up a turkey for me."
