Chris Kyle’s Wife: PTSD Is a Lame Excuse for Horrible Behavior

"I understand the media reporting that because I think that's what they would like everybody to believe almost like an excuse to hang the murders on him. But it was a double homicide and the people I know with PTSD are good people and they live a good life. I fell like whatever you were before you went into war is what you're going to come out and be on the other side with one -- with the major twist. You're going to have moodiness, you're going to have sleepless nights, you're going to have hard time, you will suffer. If you have a heart that's what's going to happen clearly and we need to do a better job of taking care of those guys and I think we are doing a better job.

But, yeah, I don't buy it and I don't think it's appropriate and I think it's a very lame excuse of horrible behavior. I think we could at people's behavior before the military, and even though I can't talk about the details of the trial, I hope you will follow it and see what kind of behavior this person had before military."
