Bret Baier: ‘It Seems Like President Trump Is 100 Percent Behind John Kelly, at Least at This Point’

BAIER: "First of all, isn’t that the case? We have seen this story four times now. Definitely leaving next week. He is out by August 1. Once he meets one year, he is out of there. Now today the President asked him to stay past 2020, past the election. And we are told by sources to John Roberts that General Kelly has accepted. That goes counter to all of these stories, all of the story lines. I do think that it is interesting to see how this White House is operating under John Kelly as opposed to how it operated before. I do not know if changes will be coming, but it seems like President Trump is 100% behind John Kelly, at least at this point."

PERINO: "Don’t you think in the last six months after the communications team and John Kelly said that they were going to do something about the leaks from inside the White House, don’t you think that that is actually stopped a little bit?"

BAIER: "It is definitely diminished, there are still some leaking that happens, but characterizing one way or the other private meetings, obviously you have this Bob Woodward book that is coming out in September now that is supposedly about the background leaks from inside the White House, we will see what it’s in it once we get it, but I think that it has diminished, definitely."
