Dem. Whip Steny Hoyer Says Democrats Will Look to Raise Taxes if They Win Control

In an appearance on CNBC on Tuesday, House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD) said that if Democrats win back Congress in November, they’ll look to roll back GOP tax cuts.

CNBC’s Rebecca Quick asked Hoyer what changes Democrats would make to the tax law. The Democrat began with a dodge, talking about other initiatives the party would pursue, but Quick pushed him on the tax plan.

Echoing House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Hoyer indicated that Democrats would raise taxes.
