Dem Az. House Candidate Echoes Pelosi & Scoffs at Extra $1,200 in Paychecks: ‘That’s Not Going to Cover Anything’

‘If you wanted to give smart tax cuts give it to the middle class folks’

TIPIRNENI: "There's nothing fiscally conservative about that tax plan and we all know it. $1.5 trillion deficit and it's now going to be paid on the backs of the elderly folks. Look, if you wanted to give smart tax cuts, give it to the middle class folks, give it to the small businesses, the people who really deserve the break, not the largest corporations, not the most wealthy among us. We're talking about maybe at the most $1,200 back for the middle class family a year. We're talking about $1 billion to $2 billion back to Wal-Mart, $6 billion to Exxon and others in the oil and gas industry. Who are we supporting here? Are we supporting corporate organizations and lobbyists? Well, if you have $1,200 back a year, that's about $100 a month, and with the increase in premiums and child care cost that most middle class families are struggling with, that's not going to cover anything."
