Chaffetz on McCabe: ‘Almost Impossible’ to Get Fired as a Federal Employee, ‘You Really Have to Have Run the Gamut’

‘He still will get his full retirement, I think there has been a lot of misinformation about that’

EXCERPT:

CHAFFETZ: "I think those senators are very shortsighted. It’s almost impossible to get fired as a federal employee in this country. You really have to run the gamut, but you not only have to have done something wrong, somebody needs to find out about it. Then they need to couple a report together. Then there need to be a recommendation. Then you have to go through process that’s usually a couple months with the Office of Professional Responsibility to finally get to that point where you are actually fired. So this didn’t happen in some 72-hour period."
