Does President Obama have a friend left?

The same week his former secretary of defense, Leon Panetta, released a scathing tell-all about the president's apparent incompetent handling of foreign policy, the man generally thought of as the worst president in modern American history -- Jimmy Carter -- felt fit to likewise attack Obama. 

These rebukes come as America's late night-hosts have recently taken to treating the Obama presidency like vultures do fresh road kill. 

Indeed, most of what's generally considered the president's base is now regularly subjecting the commander-in-chief to scorn and ridicule: Hollywood, amnesty activists, Democratic politicians, his erstwhile spiritual adviser Rev. Jeremiah Wright, even members of his own administration.

It's gotten so bad that Democrats running this November have asked the radioactive chief executive to stay as far away from their races as possible. 

And that's just his base.

All of which leads us to one inescapable question: 

Is hating Obama now cool?
