AP’s Lemire: Trump Can Let No Slight Go

‘It is not in his nature at all to sit back, keep his mouth shut and let something roll over him’

EXCERPT:

LEMIRE: "At this point some of the President’s comments about the book will be on blurb, on the book’s jacket. It’s the best possible advertisement for it. At this point the publisher moved up its publication date. It was supposed to come out next week. It is now out today, at midnight last night in some places. The President's intent to have people not read this book will drive people towards it. But I think it speaks to something deeper about this president’s personality where he can let no slight go. It is not in his nature at all to just sit back, keep his mouth shut and let something roll over him. He is going to hit back, fight back, punch back, which it must be said brings Steve Bannon into this. It is one of the things that drew Bannon and Trump together."
