Megyn Kelly Recalls When Charlie Rose Grilled Her Over Ailes Sexual Harassment Allegations

‘I felt defensive in the exchange with Charlie and wound up angry about how he handled my book event’

Megyn Kelly Recalls When Charlie Rose Grilled Her Over Ailes Sexual Harassment Allegations (Mediaite)

A day after the Washington Post reported that eight women have accused veteran broadcaster Charlie Rose of sexual harassment and misconduct, NBC’s Megyn Kelly recounted her own personal experience with Rose.

During today’s broadcast of Megyn Kelly Today, Kelly told the audience that she’s “known Charlie for years” and “considered him a friend,” thus making this “not a pleasant story” for her. She then said that she wanted to share a story involving her and Rose that wasn’t about harassment, but of the “underlying dynamic between men and women that contributes to this culture in which inappropriate conduct goes unaddressed.”

The former Fox News star explained that last year she asked Rose to emcee an event right after her book had come out. While she thought the event was supposed to discuss the “full scope of the book,” Rose apparently had other ideas.
