GEIST: “Maybe that’s been from the RNC, we heard it helped them sleep at night in some way, but it’s just completely preposterous, the idea that Ralph Northam embraced Donald Trump too much is completely preposterous. Alarm bells ought to be going off. I understand why the senators we heard from in that clip a few minutes ago say what they say. They want to project calm. But behind the scenes, they should be very worried, because Democrats are energized by this. This was the catharsis, the beginning of the comeback, as they put it to me, Donald Trump for one year made their lives miserable, Democrats, and now they are ready to come back. They believe that Virginia is the first step back.”
