Charlie Hurt: For the ‘First Time in 25 Years, We’re Starting To See Democrats Not Stick Up for the Clintons’
EXCERPT:
HURT: "Yeah. No, I mean, these are definitely crazy times. And as someone who -- a long-time political observer I love all of it and I actually think it’s healthy for the system to have this kind of discord to have this open discussion of differences. I think it’s healthy. It's exactly what the Founders intended. I think it’s great. But I do think that the president makes a very important point and that is that everybody in the media is going nuts over the disunity among Republicans, and they're very much missing the point about the degree of disunity among Democrats. It is astounding. The president mentioned the situation with Bernie Sanders and it’s true. The DNC is completely tilted that election, the primary election last year for Hillary Clinton, and what we’re seeing now, and I think this is, again, the first time in 25 years, we’re starting to see Democrats not stick up for the Clintons."
