‘I think John Kelly is smart enough to know that the least effective way to communicate with Trump and to get through to him is to criticize him directly’

RUSH EXCERPT:
JOHNSON: "I said this right after the fact. I think John Kelly is smart enough to know that the least effective way to communicate with Trump and the get through to him is to criticize him directly. So, I — I also think, you know, it was clear that he was tacitly criticizing the president by — and rebuking not only the democratic congresswoman who politicized this but the president who politicized the gold star families, first during the campaign. Then again this past week. And, who clearly is culturally coarse in the way he has talked about women and treated women in his employ and places — in his place of work. So, um — I think it’s possible. Think there’s a relationship between John Kelly’s remarks, which I think were addressed to trump fans and trump critics and former President Bush’s remarks. They’re to the just talking to one segment of the population."
