Jimmy Kimmel: President Trump ‘Needs to Go’ (Mediaite)

Jimmy Kimmel held nothing back against President Trump after he gave a press conference defending his Charlottesville remarks.

“I’m using his own words here: he’s a total disaster!” Kimmel exclaimed. “He screws up royally every day — sometimes two or three times a day.”

He then shamed Trump voters for not admitting to “smug liberals” that “they were right” and that “deep down, you know you made a mistake.”

“You can do one of two things,” he continued. “You can either dig in like Chris Christie at a hometown buffet or you can treat this situation like you would if you put Star Wars wallpaper up in the kitchen. ‘Alright, I got caught up. I was excited and I made a mistake. And now it needs to go.’ Well, now he does need to go.”

He continued his plea specifically to Trump voters.

“Please, think about it,” he said. “He doesn’t even want to be president! He’s miserable, but he won’t resign because his ego is too big.”

Kimmel suggested that the country negotiate with Trump and urge him to become America’s first “king.”
