‘Four Presidents Have Been Assassinated’: Jake Tapper Rips Trump’s ‘Self-Pitying’ Shot at the Media (Mediaite)

Reaction to President Donald Trump‘s commencement address to Coast Guard graduates on Wednesday was swift and harsh in the Twitterverse. The President was widely condemned on social media for saying that “No politician in history — and I say this with great surety — has been treated worse or more unfairly.”

Wednesday afternoon, Jake Tapper echoed those criticisms and added his own. Speaking with fellow CNN host Brooke Baldwin, Tapper noted the following, in response to Trump’s claim:

“Four U.S. Presidents have been actually literally assassinated and killed. So I think that there people who have been treated worse than President Trump has been.”
