Park has tackled countless breaking news events, high profile trials, and natural disasters, delivering every report with accuracy and tact. The challenges that come with a deadline-driven career have prepared her to work efficiently yet effectively. She has leaned into her passion for storytelling, turning complex issues into compelling narratives for a national audience.

She was among the first journalists to report on the Camp Fire, California’s deadliest and most destructive wildfire on record, and was at the forefront of covering the rapid spread of the Coronavirus in New York City, once the U.S. epicenter of the pandemic.

Park reported extensively on mass shootings across the country including tragedies at The Covenant School in Nashville, a Fourth of July parade in Illinois, a FedEx facility in Indianapolis, the Lunar New Year shooting in Monterey Park, and the Atlanta spa shootings.

Park has also interviewed groundbreaking newsmakers on the red carpet and beyond, like actress Sandra Oh, ahead of her historic night at the Golden Globes, as she became the first woman of Asian descent to host the awards show.

Before joining NBC News, Park was an Emmy-nominated anchor and reporter at KCRA-TV in Sacramento, California. She started her career as a reporter at WCYB-TV in Bristol, Virginia, then worked in Washington, D.C., as a reporter and weekend morning anchor at WJLA-TV and News Channel 8.

Park is a Maryland-native and graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland with a degree in journalism, and minor in psychology.

In 2018, she was an East-West Center fellow, selected as part of the Korea-US Journalists Exchange in Seoul.
