Biography

Prior to creating WWA with Joe Williams, Ash Wright launched RAW Political Strategies, strategically advising conservative political candidates and political action committees. Wright works with several candidates across the state including: Republican National Committee, Republican Party of Texas, several congressional and statewide elected officials and served as the Executive Director of the Texas Republican County Chairmen’s Association.

Wright has a long history of running successful grassroots organizations for the Republican Party and high profile campaigns. In 2010, he worked for the Republican National Committee as Victory Director in New Mexico. There he was instrumental in electing Susan Martinez, the first Hispanic female Governor in our nation’s history. During the election, his statewide organization consisted of 5 regional offices with 12 political operatives. The team organized 5000 volunteers and contacted over 1 million voters by phone and/or door. In 2008/09, Wright served as Political Director for the Republican Party of Texas where he visited all 254 counties working to help build the Republican Party at every level. During his time at the RPT, he successfully created over 10 new County Parties and saw over 70 conservative Democrats switch to the Republican ticket at the local level.

As a freshman in college, Ash was elected precinct chairman at the age of 18 and volunteered his evenings sweeping floors and cleaning bathrooms at the Taylor County Republican Party Office. By 2005, Ash was working as Office Manager before graduating from Hardin-Simmons University. He has worked on campaigns at every level, from presidential all the way down the ballot. Patty Wright, Ash Wright’s wife, is a longtime Republican volunteer and worked on the George P. Bush Campaign before working at the Texas General Land Office. Patty now works as an Associate and Office Manager at RAW Political Strategies. They live in Cedar Park, TX with their son, Nathan, who they recently fostered to adopt. The family attends Hill Country Bible Church.
