Biography
Brian Amerige resides in Menlo Park, California. Brian decided that his purpose in life is to amplify human capability and raise standards, so that’s what he tries to spend most of his time doing.
For the last 6.5 years Brian has worked at Facebook. Most recently he led the team responsible for building tools, educating, and supporting community leaders that use Facebook Groups.
Previously, he started and led the Core App UI team at Facebook, where they built design and engineering infrastructure to make Facebook feel more cohesive and simultaneously make our product teams more efficient. They also redesigned much of News Feed, commenting, and navigation patterns.
When Brian joined Facebook, hehelped ship the first native iOS app shortly before tech-leading a product called Paper, which was an ambitious new way to use Facebook on the iPhone.
Brian is an Objectivist, and attributes most of his own happiness to the way he’s integrated philosophy into both his daily life and the big picture. In his spare time, Brian reads, drives and obsessively details sports cars, and goes for long, ambling walks through California’s grandeur.
