Biography
Harris Faulkner currently serves as anchor of FOX News Channel’s (FNC) FOX Report Weekend (Sundays 7-8PM/ET) and as a rotating panelist on FNC’s Outnumbered (weekdays 12-1PM/ET). Additionally, she is a breaking news anchor and frequently appears on Happening Now (weekdays 11AM-12PM and 1PM-2PM/ET). Faulkner joined FNC in 2005 as a correspondent and is based in New York.
Most recently, Faulkner reported on the shooting outside of a Jewish community center in Kansas City, the 2013 government shutdown and the murder trial of George Zimmerman. During the 2012 political season, she anchored FNC’s online election coverage of President Barack Obama’s second State of the Union address, as well as the vice presidential debate and election night. During her tenure at the network, she covered the death of Whitney Houston, the fall of Tripoli in 2011 and the death of North Korea’s Kim Jong-Il.
Prior to joining FNC, Faulkner served as correspondent for WNYW-TV’s (FOX 5) A Current Affair and as a substitute host on The Nancy Grace Show on HLN. She also worked for KSTP-TV (ABC 5) and hosted The Harris Faulkner Show on FM107 Radio in Minneapolis, MN. From 1993 to 2000, she served as the primary evening anchor for WDAF-TV (FOX 4) in Kansas City, MO. Faulkner began her television career at WNCT-TV (CBS 9) as an anchor and reporter in Greenville, NC.
Faulkner has received six Emmy Awards, including the 2004 Emmy for Best Newscaster and Best News Special. In 1998, she received the Amelia Earhart Pioneering Lifetime Achievement Award for her humanitarian efforts.
Faulkner graduated from The University of California at Santa Barbara with a B.A. in mass communications.
